Ken attended the University of San Diego in the early 70's. Ken was offered a free agent contract with the Texas Rangers, but turned it down due to a new addition to the Bretsch family (Jason).
Ken opened Ken's Sporting Goods in 1976 with his wife Linda. Linda was a bookkeeper for a hospital which helped keep Ken's financially fit when they started. Linda now runs the U & Urs embroidery dept. Ken and Linda have 3 children, Jason, Nicole and Andrea who all work at the store and are Great contributers to the stores' success.
Ken & Linda have been truly blessed by having a great family and a great family of Customers throughout the years !
